We can hardly believe it but this time next week, O So Eco will have been in business for six whole months! The Directors (yes, all 2 of us) had a board meeting yesterday and we started by celebrating our achievements. We have not only set up a business that we feel passionate about but we have planted four trees with four more ready to go in the ground and since December we have helped over 220 people reduce their plastic usage and find sustainable solutions for their own homes. We now have four standard product ranges with limited edition ranges that were available over Christmas and for Valentine’s Day and we have launched our first pricing plan where you can pay £5 a month and receive two toothbrush heads and 120 toothpaste tabs in the post every 3 months, making shopping a little bit easier for you.
Since launching www.o-so-eco.com we have been visited by nearly 1,000 separate individuals who have looked at over 5,000 different pages and spent a grand total of 206 hours looking at products and thinking about how O So Eco can help them to help the planet and that doesn't include people talking to us and looking at our products on social media.
As we’ve witnessed more extreme weather around the globe, from the fires in Australia to the floods we are experiencing in the UK, more and more people are waking up to the fact that the only people that can actually make a difference is each and every one of us, by taking control of what we consume every day.
We are proud of the fact that we have featured in several newspapers, fairs and events and have our first national coverage in Be Kind magazine this month with a product feature on page 26. We couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds and want to thank you for being part of our beginnings.
As our home page says, we set out to “make it O-So-Easy for you to find sustainable solutions to your everyday issues. We aim to provide excellent quality products that are kind to you, your home and your planet.”
Our shop was developed from lessons that we learned on our own journey to reduce plastic waste in the home but if we are to continue to build a business that helps you, we really need to talk about what you find challenging and how we can help make life easier for you. The next few months will involve us talking to more people and really getting to grips with what you’d like to see. If you haven’t already done so, please sign up to our page on the Wix app or tick the box that says you agree to us contacting you. You can opt in or out at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and asking us to add or remove you from our list but if you don’t mind us getting in touch to ask your opinion on the site, the range and the advice we give, it would really help us to build a business that continues to help more people.
We are really looking forward to the next six months and hope you'll enjoy it with us.
